As most if you will now be aware, Bodge270 has finally achieved Special Repair in Armour.
But I wonder how many of you aware how much of a monumental achievement this actually is ? Hunting is one thing : You click on the mob, hold down the key, the mob dies, repeat ad nauseum. Even the hit and run of Int raising is not dissimilar.
However, with crafting, you are clicking CONSTANTLY, and moving your hand/wrist/arm in a relatively small area over and over again. After a time, it is literally physically painful. Many crafters have problems with their wrists. For me, it is the upper arm mainly, for Bodge the shoulder. Towards the end, I know he was in considerable discomfort to say the least.
Then, there is the deep joy of material buying. Any idea how much fun it is to stand in Abias like a plank for 10 minutes whilst the rest of the guild shout out their stat gains ? How about dozens of times ? Bear in mind there was a lengthy period when crafters received no help whatsoever with material retrieval.
So, after you have reflected upon these sobering thoughts for a while, I would like you to give it up for Athanatus' true Soma hero :-

I am in awe of your ability for conquoring bordom! I can't craft for more than 15 mins before getting soooooo bored I just have to go kill something!
