I think now is the time to address this issue.....
From what I've seen and been told about the problems that occurred over the weekend, it seems apparent that this is one hell of a blow to Soma.
The security seems very slack and I for one, would'nt want to witness nearly three years of work going tit's up because of someone's twisted idea of fun.
I've been playing WoW for 3 weeks now and have the buzz I used to get from Soma. I truly think to Torch has been passed.
Both Selene and I play, so does Tubs3 and Pseudo, so do both of the girls.....and also some idiot called Gens and his mad bird of a wife Funnily enough there's a guild called Athanatus already...I wonder who made that? By the way...we are all on the Horde side)
We are all on Bloodscalp server, which is a PvP server.
The max level of 60 is in no way a restriction......There are quests that keep you going until that level...there are pvp battlegrounds that are being developed, there are 'instance' area's (dungeon's) that only you and your party are involved in (think GDG without the campers...you do the work, you get the prize) and the Realms theirselves are 'Massive' (something missing from most MMORPG's usually)
Needless to say, I am very impressed. I really do think this is one game that will stay the distance....10 characters on one server, and something like 25+ servers? All on one account at £8.95 a month? I think you can try every different Race and character type without ever getting bored.
Lag issues seem to be non-existent...even with thousands of people playing on the servers.
I dont think I could ever 'leave' Soma fully....I intend popping back on to see whats going on, and thats down to all you guys, but judging from your posts and replies here, it seems that most of you are at a crossroads (and for the Wow freaks...yes, I did intend that!)
Should we make the switch? The only thing I can see to make WoW better is the rest of you guys
Just my 2p worth.
P.S. If you do get onto Bloodscalp just drop me a /w to Ohforf...as in Oh for F uck's sake!
