I ran an experiment today using mats bought by Gens using guild funds. I had 400 attempts at making daggers, using 1200 copper (36k) and 400 wolf lthr (10k). My success rate averaged out at 75%. The total return in barr was 71,886. The profit, therefore, was 25,886 barr, representing a 56% increase in funds (I put all the barr obtained into the g/s). I also obtained a 0.2 stat increase.
Now the reason I am rattling on in such geeky detail is this :-
Do we think this is a worthwhile effort and sensible use of guild funds ? I would think yes, as it is a guaranteed profit for the guild and stat increase for me. I am prepared to do it so long as someone keeps the mats flowing. What do the rest of you think ?

any way sounds like a plan bar, i got no problem doing mats runs if im about, so long as i dont have to pay(low on funds)
The mats race also could be fun......... look out orcs here we come!!

I tried this towards the end of Supreme with my own barr - even tried bribing ppl with free special repair..
Only 1 person collected mats (i won't name him, to avoid embaarrassment i will call him THE DRUNK) within 1 week i had gained 2.0 skill just imagine if everyone had helped buy or had donated their mats.

The Point of all this is that we need to raise guild funds. While I am happy to go get the mats (as i am only 1 with access to guild funds) I find for just me to support this will have a serious effect of my stats (however megre they r). It would be a good idea if all of you while in abais repairing etc were to just go see if there are any mats in and buy what you can. I am happy to reimburse you for all you buy from guild fund. But cmon guys it dont take long just to go buy say 1 load a visit to abais. By the way main mats needed are: Leather Linen Copper Correct me if im wrong crafters  Also any crafter that can turn a profit from crafting can have the use of these mats as long as all proceeds are donated to guild. In the end this will benefit all of us! |

Hi there,
I got a shit loads or Orc metal, iron and copper.
I might have 5000+.
I was going to keep for crafting but at the moment i not interested at all.
I am willing to give the mets to the guild. I will just ask for abias price for em.
Sorry for asking for the barr, but if i do not, i will end up without no money.
For the iron bars, abias copper price is fine for me.
I might also have leather, linen and other material. I will give all to guild at abias prices. If item not available from shop, like leo leather, wolf price is ok.
I hope it is ok for you people.
P.S. Every thime i will be at abias, I will start checking for mets and buy anything i find.
