Hello Dear Somarians,
I was discussing with a player in game about evasion and he told me very good and useful information that I am sure will be very helpful to everyone. Well here goes the explanation.
Assuming:
Player A has 50 Dex
Mob has 50 Attacking Dex
With the above values the Mob has 50% chance of hitting Player A. That is out of 10 hits the mob will hit player A 5 times.
If Player A levels up his Dex to 60, to calculate the base evasion u need to subtract Player A Dex to the Mobs Dex. The difference is added to the 50% evasion.
That is (Player A Dex – Mob Dex) + 50% = Base Evasion Rate.
Example 1: (60-50)+50% = 60%
I your Player A Dex is lower, let say 30 Dex, the formula is still true, that is…
Example 2: (30-50)+50% = 30%
To give another example…
Player B Dex = 63.6 (that’s 64 rounded)
Mob Dex = 44
Example 3: Then base evasion = (64-44)+50% = 70%
Now if you add Hero boots, that’s an extra 10% to your base evasion.
So using the same examples the:
Example 1 = 60% + 10% = 70%
Example 2 = 30% + 10% = 40%
Example 3 = 70% + 10% = 80%
Adding to it more, the dodge aura adds 15% to your evasion. Meaning that the above example would end up to:
Example 1 = 70% + 15% = 85%
Example 2 = 40% + 15% = 55%
Example 3 = 80% + 15% = 95%
Well there you go. I have tested these out and it seems to work quite close to it. By the way Dex armour does not work like this too… I will ask around and post about it too.

Use this formula to calculate the evasion rate you would have with the info given in the Complete Hsoma/Dsoma mob stat list
Example 4: Lets take into account the Raptor. It’s Dex(A), that is attacking Dex, is listed as 40. So taking into consideration Player B at 35 Dex the following is your Base Evasion…
(35-40)+50% = 45% Base Evasion
Wearing Hero Boots, using Dodge and using 2 +1Dex jewelry you would add up to the following
45% Base Evasion + 15% Dodge + 10% Hero boots + 2% Jewelry = 72% Evasion Rate.
Have fun people
P.S. I do believe that the formula also works the opposite way round.
